Skills for Claude and every agent you run

Questions people ask
What are Claude skills?
A skill is a folder with a SKILL.md file: a name, a description of when to use it, and instructions, often with scripts and reference files beside it. Claude keeps only the name and description in view, and loads the rest when a task matches. Codex and OpenCode read the same format.
How do I install Claude skills?
In Claude Code, install a plugin that carries them, or copy a skill's folder into ~/.claude/skills/ for every project or .claude/skills/ for one. Each skill page here gives the publisher's own install command. In Longwave, add a collection from the marketplace and its skills reach Claude Code, Codex and OpenCode threads.
Where do Claude skills come from?
Anyone can publish one. This directory covers the collections in the Longwave marketplace catalog: Anthropic's own skills, Matt Pocock's engineering skills, Superpowers, Corey Haines' marketing skills, and the skills that ship with MCP servers such as Stripe and Chrome DevTools.
Which Claude skills should I install first?
It depends on the work, but a few are worth trying on almost any project: grill me for plans, frontend design for UI, and skill creator for writing your own.
