Wayfinder skill

Wayfinder is part of Matt Pocock's engineering skills. Its job is to plan work too big for one session as a map of decision tickets, resolved one at a time. It runs only when you call it by name; the agent never loads it on its own.

When it runs

Only when you ask for it. The skill turns off automatic loading, so the agent never starts it on its own. This is the description it carries:

Plan a huge chunk of work (more than one agent session can hold) as a shared map of decision tickets on your issue tracker, and resolve them one at a time until the way to the destination is clear.

What the instructions cover

The sections of its SKILL.md, in order.

  • Plan, don't do
  • Refer by name
  • The Map
  • Ticket Types
  • Fog of war
  • Out of scope
  • Invocation

What ships with it

Besides SKILL.md, the folder carries these. The agent opens them only when a step in the instructions calls for one.
