Yes. The apps, running agents on your own devices, and connecting Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and OpenCode cost nothing. You pay only when you use a service Longwave buys from another company, such as AI Visibility answers or an agent's web searches, and then at that company's price plus 10%, from your credits. The cloud workspace is the one thing that needs a plan: Plus or Pro.
Yes. Longwave does not include those subscriptions. You sign into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or OpenCode with the plans you already pay for. Their usage counts against those plans.
Yes. Credits that arrive each month roll over once: they last until the end of the next billing month. Credits bought once last 12 months, and promo credits last until the date on the code. Plus and Pro credits follow the same rule: a monthly plan adds credits each month, and an annual plan adds the whole year's credits up front, which last until one month after the plan year ends. Longwave spends the credits that expire soonest first, and shows a warning in the app 7 days before any expire.
Only if you turn on automatic top-ups. You choose the balance that triggers a top-up, the amount, and the most it can charge in a calendar month, and you can turn it off at any time. Otherwise you are charged only for what you buy: a monthly amount you chose, or credits you buy once.
On Free, only if the work is on a machine you leave running. Close the laptop doing the work and that work stops. Plus and Pro can keep a run going in Longwave Cloud after the laptop sleeps.
No. Free runs agents on hardware you already own. Keep that machine online and the agents keep going. Use Plus when you do not want to keep your own machine running.
It sits on top. Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode still do the agent work. Longwave is the platform you run them from, together.
Work you send to Longwave Cloud is stored there, including code and artifacts. Without it, files stay on your own disks.
No. AI Visibility works inside ChatGPT and inside Longwave without a plan. Every Longwave account gets 50 free answers each calendar month, for tracking one product. An answer is one assistant's reply to one prompt. After that, answers are paid from Longwave credits, which you can buy from $5. Buying credits or having a plan lets you track up to 10 products.
A check of 25 prompts on ChatGPT and Gemini uses 50 answers, one per prompt per assistant. Your first 50 answers each calendar month are free, so your first check costs nothing. After that, each answer costs $0.00165 ($1.65 per 1,000): our data provider's price, plus 10%. The same check then costs under 9¢, and a scheduled check uses answers each time it runs. If an assistant returns no answer, you do not pay for it.
