When the agent reaches for it
The agent keeps every installed skill's description in view and loads the full instructions when a request matches. The license on this skill forbids copying its materials, so this page describes it rather than quoting it. Read the description at the source.
Building a deck versus editing one
New decks are written with pptxgenjs. The skill carries a list of that library's traps and a short design brief, so the agent picks a palette and varies its layouts instead of repeating one title-and-bullets slide.
Templates and existing decks are edited at the XML level. The agent renders a labelled thumbnail grid of every slide to choose layouts, duplicates and reorders slides with the bundled scripts, then removes the orphaned media that deleting slides leaves behind.
The QA step is not optional
The first render of a generated deck usually has a text box running off the slide or two shapes overlapping. The skill makes the agent convert the deck to images through LibreOffice, inspect every slide, fix what it finds, and re-render only the slides it changed.
What ships with it
Besides SKILL.md, the folder carries these. The agent opens them only when a step in the instructions calls for one.

Install the powerPoint (PPTX) skill
In Claude Code, run this in a session. It comes from the publisher's own instructions.
/plugin marketplace add anthropics/skills
/plugin install document-skills@anthropic-agent-skills This skill is proprietary. Its license allows use through the publisher's own services and forbids copying its materials out of them, so install it the way the publisher provides rather than copying files.
