Prototype skill

Prototype is part of Matt Pocock's engineering skills. Its job is to build a throwaway prototype to answer one design question about logic or UI. It loads on its own when a request matches its description, and you can also call it by name.

When the agent reaches for it

The agent keeps every installed skill's description in view and loads the full instructions when a request matches. This is the description it reads:

Build a throwaway prototype to answer a design question. Use when the user wants to sanity-check whether a state model or logic feels right, or explore what a UI should look like.

What the instructions cover

The sections of its SKILL.md, in order.

  • Pick a branch
  • Rules that apply to both

What ships with it

Besides SKILL.md, the folder carries these. The agent opens them only when a step in the instructions calls for one.

  • UI.md 7 KB
